I began my day with a wonderful Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Neighborhood Walmart.

Chamber President, Carlotta Ungarro, Mayor Jackie Holcombe, Councilmember Mark Stohlman, Mayor Pro Tem Johnson and I attended, along with many ambassadors and citizens.

I thank Ronny Hayes, Regional General Manager, Maurice Hayes and Brian Barritt for attending the event and for all of the Walmart employees, who made this a special event with a hearty Walmart cheer.

The best part of the morning was when Walmart provided some checks to local charities. Morrisville Innovation Foundation received a check!

It is always a great day when we can open a great American success story like Walmart and provide the convenience of great shopping for our citizens.
