Philippine American Association of North Carolina 30th Anniversary Gala

On November 30 I had the honor of attending a Gala, celebrating the Philippine Assciation of North Carolina 30 year anniversary and to raise funds and honor the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. My heart goes out the families and victims of this tragedy, and I commend the organization for putting this gala together to make a difference for the victims of this horrible tragedy.

I thank Sol Halliburton, incoming President and Board member, for inviting me as a guest and to PAANC, an organization, committed to charity and community events.

I enjoyed Filipino dance performances, and I told those in attendance, that, as the only Asian American elected in Wake County, I intend to work with the Filipino community to voice their political concerns and to increase their political engagement in North Carolina.

Thanks to PAANC for all they do and I look forward to a long term friendship with the Association and its members. For more details and information on donations: http://www.paanc.org/
