Morrisville Transportation Woes Receive State Spotlight

On March 3, Morrisville Mayor Mark Stohlman and I had the honor of inviting NC Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Tony Tata to a town hall meeting in Morrisville. The first in its kind, this town hall meeting gave a very important opportunity to citizens and officials to address issues related to Morrisville congested roads.

Approximately fourteen thousand people commute through Morrisville roads and the existing narrow roads not only lead to congestion but pose a safety threat. Residents from Morrisville and neighboring towns addressed their experiences regarding Morrisville roads. We look forward to continued work with NC DOT and state legislatures to move our transportation concerns higher on the state’s priority list.
