Steve Rao stated that “Transportation is our number one issue”. He added that “the average age of Morrisville residents is 35 and most have small children. They don’t have time to attend meetings and complain.” He said the board needs to be proactive for these constituents (excerpt from Cary Citizen).

At the Morrisville Candidate Forum held on October 14, I shared my views regarding the main issues facing the town, especially traffic congestion on Morrisville’s most heavily travelled roads. I spoke about the need for developers to help ease the burden of funding our roads.
One of the most expensive items for the N.C. 54 bypass project is buying right of way access. If developers and property owners donate land (which is in discussion) this could free up funds that could then be used to pay for other road projects.
The transportation issues were also covered in The Cary News: http://www.carynews.com/2013/10/17/3289295/transportation-hot-topic-in-morrisville.html
