In honor of the 9/11 victims

Today, we honor and remember the victims of 9/11 and continue to pray that our nation can stand united against terror and oppression all over the world.

9/11 was one of the worst events in the history of our nation but it did also serve as an example of how we can come together as a country to deal with a national tragedy.

President Bush, Mayor Giulani, First Responders, police, elected leaders, and community organizers all came together to rebuild New York City from this senseless tragedy and to guide us through this dark period in our history.

Finally, we also are so very grateful for the brave soldiers in our armed forces, who since that attack have sacrificed and continue to sacrifice their very lives to ensure that we remain strong and free, and that the Land of the Free and Brave will forever endure.

We will continue to honor the victims of 9/11 by not taking this freedom for granted and to be ever mindful that, in the words of President Lincoln, “these honored dead shall not have died in vain, that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom and that a Government of the People, By the People, and for the People, shall never perish from the earth”.
