I just finished running the 5K at Hatcher Grove Church and finished 3rd in my age group at 21:54!
It was a humid, run, but a great event, and so wonderful to see many of my friends at Hatcher Grove. In attendance were Mayor Jackie Holcombe, my friend and opponent, Pete Martin, Liz Johnson, candidiates TJ Cawley and Vikki Scroggins Johnson.
Thanks to Pastor Pugh and all of the volunteers for hosting another great 5K and of course, it feels good to always be running in Morrisville.
One of the main benefits of my running in Morrisville is that it gives me an opportunity to look at the Town, review plans that have come before Council, and to just see different parts of the Town. A run on Town Hall Drive, like today, reminds me of what a beautiful part of Town is here, and also forces me to imagine, if we had a Town Center, what it would mean to provide us a unique identity.
Thanks again for the race and I look forward to seeing more of Hatcher Grove in the months to come!
