Margaret Broadwell, Former Mayor of Morrisville, Joins our Endorsements!
“Councilmember Rao’s vision, energy and passion for public service has greatly increased the quality of life for citizens in Morrisville. He has earned my trust and vote. Let’s keep the positive momentum alive! Vote to re-elect Steve Rao on November 2.”
– Margaret Broadwell, Former Mayor of Morrisville
“I’m delighted to endorse Steve for re-election to Morrisville’s town council. I’ve worked with Steve on a number of initiatives over the years – most prominently the Northwest Park and to some extent the Cricket Park (seeking to do both successfully within the town’s budget). We also worked on two greenway initiatives related to enhancing Parkside Elementary, voter districting efforts, and a handful of local electoral efforts. Our frequent conversations, however, tend to focus on brainstorming through his prolific ideas across a wonderfully broad spectrum for how to cultivate and sustain Morrisville’s quality. Those phone conversations follow a pattern of “Hey, Robert! This is Steve. I’ve got an idea, and I want you to help me figure out if I’m missing anything and get your ideas on how to make it even better.” Of course, I am just one of many that Steve calls during this formulation phase, which is the way that brainstorming should work, but, with me, we did this with his data aggregation efforts to streamline the workflow efficiency of the town’s departments and staff, with the Senior Center upgrade, with his business and jobs incubator efforts, etc. Remarkably, most of the ideas that we discussed are now reality based on his drive, ability to work collaboratively with other leaders (local and state), and his persistence –i.e., an unwillingness to give up on a good idea. So, Steve is an ideas generator, an attention-to-detail researcher, a collaborative leader, and, having spoken with him recently, I know he hasn’t run out promising ideas. I hope you will join me in voting to re-elect Steve Rao.”
