This morning, the Nepalese community  celebrated the candidacy of Sushil Koirala, from Nepal, leading candidate for Prime Minister, who leads the Congress Party and is working hard to shift Nepal from an autocratic, regime to a free nation.

The event was held at NC State and I was the keynote speaker for the event, speaking about freedom, its role in the world, and how on this Indpendence Day weekend, we must remember how important freedom is to secure the rights of all people all  over the world.

The Maoist party has prevented free elections and this November, Nepal is trying to once again regain control of their country.
